In the 26 years I’ve lived in my home, I never had anything to worry about. But after a recent scare where I literally watched a criminal walk up my driveway right to my car while he/she was walking around trying car door handles and approaching homes, I knew I needed to step up my security. I lock my car keys up in a Faraday box at night to block mechanisms that can read key fobs from inside the house, and even though my cameras have great night vision and can see five houses wide, I wanted my house to light up like a stadium—and it really works very well! Now, when the lights activate for a person outside, my camera alert lets me see/hear a person detection of what's going on so I can simply call the local authorities right away without having to do anything else. While I hadn’t planned on spending my savings, having proper security lighting felt like a necessary safety measure, and I am so glad I had the funds set aside and chose JEM Electric—a well-known local contractor company with a solid reputation. Their price was very fair, and when they realized they only needed to install one light switch instead of two, they actually lowered the price and took money off without me even asking! My project required brand new wiring for outdoor floodlights where no light fixtures existed before. Because my attic has blown-in insulation and no flooring—just exposed rafters—this was definitely not a job for a handyman. They had to navigate that space, run new electrical lines, and easily installed the indoor switch for full control. They handled the whole complicated setup like it was nothing! From start to finish, the crew was professional, polite, kind, and attentive to every detail, leaving absolutely no mess behind. Best of all, when the motion sensors were a little too sensitive, they came right back out without hesitation to fine-tune them. Now the neighborhood groundhogs, possums, skunks, and stray cats can have their midnight strolls in peace without triggering a midnight stadium light display, but the moment a human walks up, BOOM—it lights up! I have had JEM Electric provide service multiple times. Steve came over today to install a vanity light, exhaust fan and change out a switch and GFI outlet in a recent bathroom remodel. Wiring was all in place so it was just a matter of installing. He called before he arrived and was professional and friendly when he showed up. The job was completed and he cleaned up afterwards. First and foremost, let me just say that if you're looking for an electrician, JEM electric are your people! I have an old house, and old houses have terrible old wiring that made no sense whatsoever. The issue with my house is that I had the front living room, 2nd flr, and 3rd flr of my house all wired to ONE breaker. I called around many different electric companies and I had 2 responses: 1) They wouldn't work on my house because they found it not worth the hassle. 2) They charge me some high cost of just gutting everything. I called up Jem and they scheduled for someone to come by and take a look. I told them what I wanted to do and they said they could do it. Gave me a quote, price was very reasonable. I added other services such as adding a dedicated 20AMP line to my room since I do work with servers that draw high AMPages. And I had them also label all of my breakers. I worked with Steve, Ian, and Garrett for that job and they were all wonderful and patient. After the work was done, invoice was sent and paid for and we shook hands. They offer a year of warranty for any work that they do but I'm sure I won't need to call them. Their work is fantastic, they show up early, and they clean up after they are finished. I cannot express enough how great these guys are! If I need any electrical work done, I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat and you should to!

Called Jem Electric they came out quick to fix our issue. Electrian Teddy was very professional explained everything showed me the burnt connection issue and what he had to repair to get our power back on. Can't thank them enough!
